About me, Kimberly

Me

Hello, my name is Kimberly. Most people know me as Kimmie.

I’m originally from Brooklyn, New York, with Trinidadian and Jamaican roots, and I carry those influences with me in how I see the world and how I move through it. At the age of five, I gave my life to Jesus Christ, and my faith continues to shape how I grow, reflect, and contribute.

I am a senior at Oklahoma State University and a full time professional in the finance industry, navigating the balance of professional growth while preserving identity and continuity of self. Writing has always been a place of reflection for me, a way to process, document, and evolve.

My interests include ancestry, genealogy, and music, all spaces that connect story, history, and belonging. Outside of work and school, I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with my fiancé, and walking with my dog, Kali.

Animals hold special meaning for me, and I am especially drawn to the butterfly and the flamingo, symbols of hope, transformation, and restoration.

Kimpressively is a space where I share the journey of evolving personally, professionally, and spiritually, and I am glad you are here. Feedback, connection, and shared experiences are always welcome.
